UpnRent ("we," "our," or "us") operates the UpnRent platform, which connects landlords and tenants and provides automated rental listing and marketing tools. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

• Name and email address when you sign in with Google
• Property details you enter when creating a listing (address, rent, amenities, photos)
• Contact information (phone number, email) included in listings
• Tenant application information submitted through the platform
• Facebook Page credentials when you connect your Facebook account for social posting

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Operate and improve the UpnRent platform
• Display your property listings to prospective tenants
• Post listing content to your connected Facebook Page on your behalf
• Generate AI-powered marketing plans and tenant screening reports
• Process payments for listing boosts via Stripe
• Send transactional communications related to your account

3. Facebook Integration

When you connect your Facebook account, UpnRent requests access to your Facebook Pages in order to post rental listing content on your behalf. We only post content that you explicitly authorize. We do not store your Facebook password. You can disconnect your Facebook account at any time from the Marketing tab in your listing dashboard. We do not share your Facebook data with third parties.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

• Service providers — including Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI features), Google (authentication), and Meta (social posting) — solely to provide the services you use
• Law enforcement — if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users

5. Data Storage

Listing data is stored locally in your browser and on our servers hosted on Railway. Photos are stored as compressed thumbnails in your browser's local storage. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data.

6. Cookies

We use browser local storage to save your session, listings, and connected account preferences. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.

7. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@upnrent.com. You may also disconnect any connected social accounts from within the platform at any time.

8. Children's Privacy

UpnRent is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised date.
